The one occasion they did get into next doors garden they tunnelled: the dog did one side and they did the ot...

We have neighbours each side with equally big gardens but they don't try to get over and the fence is only four foot on one side of our garden, 6ft...

Quietish cockerel???

Having trawled around the internet for over an hour and not found a sensible answer, I figured I would ask here! Is there such a thing as a quiter breed of cockerel? I realise this might be the dumbest question ever! I have looked at several breeds: The little tiny ones would be short lived as I hav...

Well, gave up on movable run! Just let them free range. I put 1m squares of chicken wire over the baldest bits! The chicken wire squares are movable. So much easier.

Not what most want to hear, but it works, every spring the'lawn' is gorgeous!!

It's all clover, bees and chooks!

We have 5 cats, 6 chooks, the cats have learnt to walk really slow around the chooks. If they run the chooks chase them. What a hoot! Slo-mo cats!!

We have not had snow yet but last year my ex-batts spent all day chasing snowflakes, think they thought they were butterflies!

They got absolutely soaked and would not get under cover...mind you, they do live with me and I am clearly barking!

some of my fences are less than 5ft high, mine have never tried to escape, they like their porridge too much I guess!

I have never trimmed their wings, we said we would only do it if any flew over, but ours cannot get more than a foot off the ground.
