Fruit & Veg skewer for hens

A few years ago I bought some quite long skewers, that would hold cabbages or apples etc, and they just hung in the run with the help of an S hook. I need to buy a couple more, and I cant for the life of me either remember where I bought them, or find them to buy more. Just wondering if anybody can ...

Re: Rescue hens need homes please

I could take maybe 4 or 5 if that would be any help? My hens live in hen house with attached run, and are only free range when I am about as we are quite rural and there is a risk of foxes. I have had ex batts for over 2 years, some of my first ones are still with me. PM me if I can help or you want...

Re: Ex-batts up North?

There is a farm in Barnsley "getting rid" of around 1000 hens this week. The farmer is rehoming himself not through a rescue and the hens will be £1 each. Any that dont get rehomed are going for slaughter at the end of the week. Rehoming days only Wednesday/Thursday collect directly from t...

1. What do you do? I'm an office worker, normal in Customer Service, but currently in Accounts. 2. How do you keep your chickens? In a coop with an attached enclosed and roofed run. 3. What do you do if you go on holiday? My daughter who still lives at home and has her own hens looks after them. 4. ...

Re: Homicidal Chickens

Mine mob me with food bowl in hand most mornings. Definitely hungry and impatient to be fed. Bit daft though considering if I cant get past them to put the food down I cant feed them We then play the step over the hens game, which is countered by the peck the wellingtons game until said food bowl is...

Re: Pallet wood run

My daughter and her dad made a large run for the rabbits to fit onto their 3 level 6 foot hutch. They used 2x2 for the frame with weldmesh, but made a lid that sat on the top and was hinged in 3 places so that it could be folded over to get into the run. You could always put a lid of mesh on without...

Re: A lovely afternoon..

I love days like that. Only just managed to muck out their house and sort out their run today before it went dark. My outdoor lighting isnt working so its torchlight if I run over. Definitely looking forward to lighter evenings again.
