funnily enought,we were talking about rescue birds the other night,and we both agreed that it would be something wed like to look into a little more sometime next year,when charlies calmed down alittle and we have a little more experience.

your birds look so happy in that photo .charlie will not take any treats from me yet,but i will try t offer him some on a spoon like you said .im starting to think that the poor little mite has never been handled and had just been sat in that tiny cage all day every day but at least hes found a good...

no,hes never made a growling noise...just alot of flapping about and looking worried.

so i guess its just a matter of time lol. grays are wonderful,theres two in our local pet shop,and one can really talk up a storm . he desnt want to take anything from me,and doesnt seem to like anyone near his cage.but were taking things very slowly with him.ive already fell head over heals for him...

thanks so much for your reply and the pic.She looks quite large and very nice,kind of a cross between the two breeds.Now i know how to s.ex them,and seeing as they look so nice,im deffinatly going to have one or two chicks off him (or knowing me,i not be able to resist more .ang. )

crossing a RIR with a sussex

I cant keep males due to liveing on a large council estate,but a friend of mine can.He has a male RIR and a Sussex hen.Am i right in thinking this will make sexing the chicks easy (auto sexing)?If im right,what colour will the females be?And when fully grown,would they look like dad,mum or a cross b...

i cant give no advice as i dont know much about them,but we have had bats in our loft for years,and we have more than one up there,no idea how many though.they drive me mad sometimes when im layed in bed and i can hear them scratching. my mum hates them,and a few years back,she had a pot on her leg....

thanks for the advice sara .the top part is about 4 foot long,with about a foot drop to the next floor.i dont really want to move them just yet,as eveything ive read has said not to touch them till there abit older.if you think the top part will be big enough for them all for a week or two till they...
