Lets just say I'm trying.

I have tried all sorts of ways to give the chickens their water and the thing that works for mine is a heavy mixing bowl. They do knock it over sometimes if they sit on the edge but I think they are learning.

also if you put your hand over their backs and they start to crouch down this shows that they won't be far off laying.

mine go out in all weathers. I try and usher them under the cover but they don't care. Too worried about their worms I think. I was thinking it couldn't be good for them sitting there in the rain getting soaked, but I suppose they would go in if it bothered them.

We get double yokers too. Last week one of the hens laid a whooper! This egg weight in at 94g I'm surprised she got it out poor thing.

Hi They should be white as that is what the ebay advert said. Three eggs are all the same size and colour, but one egg is bigger and is white so I'm waiting to see what comes out of it. maybe a duck! I do 2 mins in the microwave to zap those bugs then crush them and mix them with their mash. All down the hatch in seconds.
