We had the Oxford one last Sunday. Was surprised when they phoned me as I thought they were still doing the over 70's and I am still 65, but other half got a text message and a couple of days later they phoned me.
Felt like rubbish for quite a few days afterwards, think we are okay now

I've not had it before, and I was hanging back but when they stopped sending emails and actually phoned I went. Wasn't offered pneumonia jab. Nice to see you again, it's been a while I keep forgetting about the site, then I come on and realise how good it is here. Nice to see you again Mo, hope you...

I've always said I'd never have the flu jab, so has my OH. He has been eligible for the last few years as he is now 68 but this was the first year I got a text message to have one. If it hadn't been for Covid I don't think I would have bothered but we both decided we would. When we got to the GP sur...

I forgot to post about Daisy having more eye surgery. She had a procedure done to make her eyes smaller, I forget the technical term for it, but they sew up on both sides of each eye. It's made such a difference to her face. She no longer has the constantly wet face which was caused by hairs touchin...

How is Daisy getting on, Mercedes? Good I hope. Bit late in replying, sorry about that Gwen, hadn't seen your post. Well it's over a year since she had her surgery and touch wood she seems to be fine thanks. Her graft still looks okay, last time we took her for a check up in April her tear producti...

Yes Wendy they are in Bushey I think m I've never heard of them, my son is pretty dismissive of them too but daughter in law seems convinced he is the answer to her prayers, can't really say much. Will be interesting to see how it goes. What they should have done was take her to one of your classes ...

I knew that my son and daughter in law had a dog behaviourist coming to see what could be done to help with their dog's behaviour issues, but only after I spoke to them afterwards did I realise he is a fan of Cesar Milan and uses his techniques to train dogs. I'm trying really hard to not say anythi...

I know this is quite an old thread but I just thought I would post an update about my own experience of taking a VitD supplement. I had some blood work done last month and asked if I could also have my VitD levels tested as even though I have carried on taking a supplement all year round, I don't si...

I keep meaning to post another update on Bruce as we see him quite a lot. He is such a lovely dog, still not keen on other dogs and gives them a wide berth, but Daisy has once tried to play with him, don't think she realised how quick he is compared to her

Hello Mercedes, good to see you posting again, but a great shame that Daisy has this problem. I've nothing to add, know nothing about her breed, only about shelties. I hope you are coping with the situation. Thanks Spreckly, we are coping okay with Daisy all things considered. We do have pet insura...

Hi Mercedes Just had a reply from the breeder of Lexi and she says that having Grandparents on both sides of a pedigree is what they used to do, but is now considered to be bad practice and inbreeding which can result in health issues. Not sure when this practice was altered though. That's interest...
