Re: Meet Smartie and Jellytot

they are on painkillers, given to me by Alison at the rescue and honey water, and at the moment they are only eating layers mash. Smartie is very stressed out and has been nicknamed Mrs Pecker, she lashes out when you go anywhere near her.

Re: Meet Smartie and Jellytot

yes we are hoping so, they were only rescued yesterday and they were handled quite roughly when taken out of the cages, their legs are not broke just badly bruised and they are in shock.

Re: At least some escaped...

I live in the north west about 40mins away from where the accident happened and it has been on local radio and tv news all day. From the reports i have heard, 1,500 died (RIP poor girls), 2,000 were re captured and the rest escaped into nearby fields, an animal sanctuary have rounded a lot of the up...

Re: Lost my little Daphne

Thanks everyone for your kind words, I have just laid her to rest in her final resting place underneath a flowering bush in the garden next to her sisters millie and daisy. I have lost many girls over the last few years but losing ex batts really tugs at my heart. I am sad, but also happy in the kno...

She was rescued along with her sisters in early December...
