I have painted a few things for hen and animal charities, also donated several paintings for auctions to NI Battery Hen Rescue and Luckyhens Rescue Wigan. Makes me happy knowing I have helped in some way :-D

Re: Help please, I think Wadj has a cold.

One of mine is on on it, my vet said egg withdrawal for 28 days! I had to mix a bit in with her crumb to get her to have it. though she then started to drink it without the crumb.

Re: Its becoming tough

I am having a hard time with my girls, they are taking it in turns to stress me out! Luckily Susan seems to be almost back to normal (naughty) after two weeks of crop problems. I think I will be returning to the vets with Margo this time. She is steadily getting worse on her feet, they seem wider a...

Re: What Do I Do Next? sour crop, old age, beatings and icky

Morning Steve, I got Susan out and her crop seemed empty but she is very thin and has little fight in her. I have just been out to check and she has some crumb round her beak and was drinking. I have given them some maggots to eat, Margot isn't fond of maggots so there won't be a fight over them. Is...

Re: What Do I Do Next? sour crop, old age, beatings and icky

I took Susan the vets, first time to this one and he was lovely with her. He flushed her twice and the gave her ab's. He said he couldn't feel a blockage and the liquid that come out wasn't as disgusting as expected. When we got home she slept for a while then drank some critical care formula, stood...
