Re: HELP! Chickens Drawing Blood by Pecking

Todays update: well the bully is pecking Lily far less than yesterday, but she's still not stopped even though I've used purple spray and tar. I was watching them this morning and it seems like the chicken is trying to eat the feathers. The tar has stopped her wound being pecked at more, so that's a...

Re: Frugal February is returning!

I have really got to tighten the purse strings, so I am going back to taking the money I need for essentials out of the bank on the 1st of each month and dividing it up over 4 weeks. It actually works really well, as my cash card stays at home and I'm not tempted to use it! Might even wear my glass...

Re: HELP! Chickens Drawing Blood by Pecking

Dom

I am using poultry shield on a weekly basis after cleaning out - is this enough protection for red mite? Or should I invest in something extra like the Diatom?

I've heard lots of people saying they've had issues with redmite... one even burnt her old coop and bought another to get rid!!!

Re: Newly Frugal - any suggestions?

Hello all I too am newley frugal - hubby lost his job a year ago so had a huge reduction in our income, I had to take time out from my business to home-school my son (can't be mainstreamed currently as he's autistic) which resulted in my losing my business. For a long time we were debt slaves.... no...
