TomAto, tOmato?

Hello everyone, I am in need of some advice (as always). I currently have five different varieties of tomatoes growing and they are very strong and healthy but they are in need of being repotted now. As we are looking to move this year (hopefully soon) I can't put them direct into my allotment or th...

Re: Weed suppressant?

I was looking for help with the weeds because I can not physically dig the ground. It is solid clay, rock hard, and even after all the rain I still couldn't get a fork or spade into it. I think, after lots of research I will have to go with cardboard and manure. Even though I am hoping to be organic...

Re: Weed suppressant?

Unfortunately I live in a little village, so I am limited to where I can go for cardboard! :) Would not allowing rain water be much of a problem for a heavy clay plot? I only need to leave it on long enough to kill back most of the weeds before I add mulch/manure. Hmm... thinking about that, cardboa...

Weed suppressant?

So, I bought a roll of weed suppressant from Amazon or eBay (can't remember) and it did nothing. It was down for almost six months, and when we lifted it there were weeds still there but they were not green like the others but sort of a yellowy green but quite rampant! So my question is: What do you...

Plant identity?

A friend of mine and her young daughter have sown some mystery seeds. I was not lucky enough to see the seeds so I have no head start on identifying these plants.

Any ideas? My first thought is 'curcubit' of some sort.

Re: Long forgotten Craft?

Thank you Linda!

It's painfully slow going at the moment, but the more customers we get, the more yarns we can stock so hopefully with another few sales we can start getting the much wanted Aran in! :D )t'

It is very satisfying knowing that we did it all on our own though.
