Making butter

Hi :-D Anyone got any tips on making butter is the old large jar and lots of shaking method the best? (and i suppose an arm breaker) or should i maybe invest in a second hand butter churn? Any suggestions would be welcome )t' Thank you

Not allowed to keep chickens!

I'm so upset, it says in the deeds for the house! I got in touch with the council and they confirmed it... nobody in the area are allowed them as they are classed as livestock! Ive wanted chickens for ten years and now im in a possition to get them...oh now i still can't!! Im trying to console mysel...

Kindle anyone?

Thinking of getting a Kindle, it will be a bit of a blow out for me money wise but i think worth it! As i read a lot! The books you can buy for Kindle on the likes of Amaz0n are really cheap and to be honest im running out of space around the house for more books, I also think its rather environment...

Do you lot pinch out the side shoots? It depends on whether it is a determinate or indeterminate ... basically, that means is it a cordon type (you tie the plant to a cane and nip out side shoots so all the energy goes up and into the fruits), or bush type (these don't grow as tall and "flop&q...

Would love to make both so im after recipes!! Methods etc (the simpler the better) Iv'e never tried to do a home brew before but these two are just up my street! :-D x
