Re: Red miteerrrghhhh, they're back, yes found red mite yet again after using so many things to get rid of them; smite spray, poultry shield, Diatom earth powder, ant powder etc, washing the coop inside out etc.
I was told painting with lime wash kills and prevents red mite - has anyone tried this?

I found that both hens accepted the chick and became very protective of it and both looked after it together. ...
Re: Red mite if it helpsI also discovered red mite infestation again earlier this year and again this week - I have used Smite Solution + Diatom E and also ant powder ... but they are very persistent and return.

Re: Where are my eggs?!I don't know much about ducks but I have a few broody hens, and they do steal from each other, including moving eggs from nest on one end to another, and sometimes even rolling them out of the coop all together. Is it possible that other ducks when come in to lay and doing something similar?
