Re: broody chookI'm the same as lbh ,I have a dog cage in the fenced of pen with food and water and just a little shavings usually takes about 3 days.but I leave her in day and night (nest box is too tempting for her.

Re: Advice pleasewhen my gingernut whent broody I had to separate her as it went on for a couple of weeks,i have a large run so I put her inside the run but in a dog cage with her own food and water and no straw just wood shavings.she was back to normal in two days.

grity eggs help pleaseHi all
one off my girls betty is still laying every day large eggs as always but the eggs have lots of what looks like grit or pieces of shell on the outside ,is there anything I can buy to cure this like a tonic or anything,any help is most welcome,she is very healthy and has no problems otherwise.

Re: Foxe Querytheir is no safe time,my frieda was taken in october in the garden when i was only 10 to 20 feet away from her,over the 5 foot wall grabed her and back over the wall.ten second's took it all in.You don't want it it's devastating.keep them safe all the time is all i can say.
