You can run lights in series, but if the bulbs are in an exposed area, I would use bulkhead type lights, to protect them and you. Our "greyhound" cabbages were more like 2 legged mongrels... they grew really slowly. :o( It must be the nitrogen, I stuck most of mine in the bed that had runner beans in, the year before and I had dug the roots back into the soil, then fed the cabbages with nettle tea. Nice piccies vega...

Great pics! I am in awe of your cabbages - mine are all eaten by crawlies So did mine, in the first year, this year I grew some under some homemade fleece cloches and the main bed was covered with fleece too, plus several slug hotels. Me too, although my plot is a lot smaller than your one, but its been dug over and had horse and chicken manure dumped all over, then netted to keep the local cats from using it as a litter tray.
