Re: Chamomile?Stef I didn't know that about the fly repellant, have been thinking about making a homemade one for the horses, flies really bothering them at the moment, fly-rugs and masks on all the time :(
Re: Worth the waitThanks all! I do love them. The cockerel we have (rocky) who we raised from a chick, has started cosying up to all the girls now, our ex batt who was 'the cockerel' is now falling for his charms too! She normally sleeps on the top tier and the rest below, but tonight after a stand-off dance during w...

Re: Old table and chairs found!Sorry, it's been manic today with one thing and another, I did take pics but have only just come in from feeding the horses, so here it is...and yes, I realise it looks like a paste table but the wood really is very solid... http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/7695/tableandchairs.jpg Have started san...
Re: Worth the waitAm having a bit of trouble telling the difference at the moment, am hoping they'll develop different characteristics as they grow, and I'll be able to tell them apart. The kids call them "The Fluffles". :)
Worth the waitA couple of months ago, I posted on here after a terrible run of problems, dogs unexpectedly dying, eggs failling to hatch twice, and the one that did dying, and eventually we managed to hatch 4 out of 6 eggs in an incubator my friend loaned to us, just thought I'd post a pic of three of them, sitti...

Unfortunately the little hatchling died and none of the other eggs hatched :( I think something must have been wrong with the incubator. A friend took pity on my and loaned me his fan assisted incubator, so we did 6 eggs, and 4 hatched!! ALL HENS! <object w...

Chamomile?Just moved into a lovely 2 acre smallholding, kids, chickens, horses, dogs and rabbits think it's bliss, but the garden is hard work! We're rotivating a decent size patch for veg, I'm a florist so I'm trying to grow all manner of flowers in the greenhouse, and and I keep discovering this little plan...
