me too i was worried bout her but shes soaked up the sun today and heckled the rabbit loads so shes definatley better just attempting to resurrect my plant pots they took a bit of a pecking last week!

hi i adopted ex batts and they have been fab mine have free range in garden all day and put into run when i go out, mine just know when their bedtime is ,fading daylight. i have learnt as ive gone along but this site has proved invaluable this weekend, i had a poorly hen and these guys gave sound ad...

will get some limestone flour i think as she is a real sun worshipper she follows it round the garden (when its here!) she stood gazing at me thro the patio doors as we speak throwing a guilt trip at me i think on account of the brown rice! :-D

marlene is much better today, nice tidy feathers eating, just put her on a bland diet cooked some brown rice, thanks to you all for your kind advice nice to know where to turn to i did have an egg without a shell that she laid but shes laid another thats completely normal 10 mins ago i know shes fee...

noticed your link for fresh start, thats where i got my hens from i met a rehoming lady from Barnsley who has remained in touch with me its the best thing ive ever done dead rewarding never thought hen keeping was up my street but i wouldnt be without them now. +f+

no i use spire vets in chesterfield theyre a fab vets used them for years for all my animals.

yes i have grit and crushed shell available all the time i give them pellets am tinned sweetcorn in the afternoon and they have fresh water and layers pellets available all the time they do have kitchen leftovers too ie soft biscuits , rice, pasta etc most things really not meat of anysort though th...

no she hasnt laid today but she did a weird bit of squatting in the garden and she always goes into the coup to lay my other two are fine so its nothing ive given them, definatley had no cabbage but they have full use of my garden,(garden did look like kew gardens and the lawn was like a putting gre...
