Re: Run size

Thanks Helen, that's a very good idea )t' then I could technically enclose the cube within a high enclosure and maybe introduce perches or levels too. Thank you, what is the cost of aviary panels and are they fox resilient? Mr fox is not allowed lol {warn}

Re: How to clean a dresser!..

Hi, could use one of two things really, if build up of surface grease from hands etc over years try plain good old fairy liquid on a rough flannel. Or another trick I'd WD40 which will gently remove anything including stubborn marks off Lino or laminate wooden floors. Hope that helps, try a little p...

Re: Charity Shops

Nick is correct in saying the staff skim off the quality items, resorting to blatant lies in describing what they have purchased (if lucky) or mostly pilfered from piles of donated goods! I have experienced this myself on many occasions as a volunteer (shop shelf stacking and ironing!) I was horrifi...

Re: Run size

Thanks again guys, I feel a whole heap better now I guess you are right, I will probably get more girls later as I am a big softie! I have settled on the cube with 3 metre run and I know you can extend at 1 metre a time for £100 each metre. May even get some handy chap in to make the run and then pu...

Re: Run size

I agree, it seems ludicrous to base this on legislative guidelines, rightly so, they legalise the battery system! But I would have thought that a 1.2 metre wide by 3.0 metre long enclosure would be ample for three girls. Obviously should I wish to purchase more, I would need to upgrade the size. Tha...

Run size

Hi, I am curious to know what members recommend as best run size per chicken. I am keen to get an omlet cube and the standard 2 metre run looks small as it includes space under the house too. Any advice would be great, I don't have a massive garden, but want to make certain the girls, when I get the...
