I didn't notice long horns, but I'm afraid I only seem to have got pics of their bottoms. They seemed to have a black rear end and a sort of yellow bit between their wings. They were quite small and were very gentle These are solitary Bees they live in small colonies normally have little or no stin...

I know what you mean about the flour. I was a chef for 25 years and know that whole meal flour has not enough GLUTEN in it to hold the bread up as it proves .You can improve the reciept by adding half wholemeal flour with strong bread flour it will still be a bit hevey but give a better result . Do you know , I looked at the title of the thread and the 1st person I thought of was Richard ( he never lets you down does he ). Looks heavy Lenny , what's it called ? Chocolate pudding it origonaly was jam sponge but I like chocolate Pud the recipit goes like this : 6oz plain flour 6oz selfraising flour 3 teaspoon s of baking powder 1 1/2 oz sugar 1 1/2 oz marg or fat 2oz of jam ( I OMMITED THE JAM ) I put 2oz of cocoa powd...

Poor thing has a chest infection and a cough. She's exhausted. I took here to the vets and they wanted to put here on 4 tablets a day. Around £80 a month. Only one of them was for her chest. The others are for her heart murmur and because she's had a stroke. She's 16! she's had one stroke years ago...

I have been cleaning the chooks run out today and went to the composter to put some goo in, and as I lifted the lid, lots of bees flew out. There were still 3 or four in there - really odd as I only put grass in in a week or so back, and they just all seemed to be sitting on the top. They flew away...
