Put a torch in the house with the light shining towards the pop hole
they are attracted to the light.

Hello it may sound strange but when I have had this problem in the past I have covered the bare patches with Vic Vapour rub, once the hen that is doing the pecking gets a taste you will find that she will not go back for another go.
This has always worked for me with no ill affects on the birds.

Started with 6 ex Bats went down to 1 after 2 years but have added 3 light Sussex so know 4, Calculate that the original remaining ex Bat is about 5 years old, stopped laying about 8 months ago. But not about egg production.

Hello Richard I have been using Verm X pellets for a couple of years know and they seem very good.
Get mine from an animal feed place just of Love Lane in Faversham that is part of the Copdock Mill Group, I think I paid about £9.00 for my last bag.

Hi Richard started with six ex Bats went down to one but have added another 3 so 4 in total.

Hi Granny of 4 you can be as blunt as you wish , but did not know of this possible solution until I read the post today. As I have stated I am fairley new to keeping Hens and am open to advise hence the question.
