just read this thread. I was asked to help out in the staff canteen and i was shocked by the level of waste food. one friday 16 yes 16 pieces of prime cod fillet was thrown away at the end of the day. i didnt do the cooking just servery but my god there was so much waste. in one day alone 4 bin bags...

So i can feed them canned sweetcorn i have loads in my cupboard. went to asda and they have buy 5 cans for £1.00. as for the wing clipping i'm not sure i just dont want them getting in to neighbouring gardens and getting hurt by cats ect. Hi Melons Well to be perfectly honest i cant remember i think they are a mix, the lady i spoke to was really really nice and helpful. They lay brown eggs i know that. I could have had some chicks but i cant have a cockerel so i said no. I also remember her saying that they will point of lay............

I only wanted to put a light in for their welfare not to get extra eggs, i dont care if they never lay an egg. I want them to lay because they want too not because they have to. My quail havent laid since october i'm prosuming thats because its winter.
