Re: My chook hasnt laid for nearly a week

My hen has now started laying, yesterday and today, they are small but at least shes laying. I cant say what it was that actually caused it or...

Re: My chook hasnt laid for nearly a week

DOM, I think my hen is on the mend, although I think i'm losing a few more marbles to be honest. She is active, but still no egg today. She's not that old and a hybrid warren. I had the three of them at Point-of-Lay in early april, and within two weeks of having them they were laying regularly every...

Re: My chook hasnt laid for nearly a week

Morning Well, let my girls out, and I noticed that my hen has a full crop. I hadn't noticed before so maybe she has a problem there. I am worming all the girls at the moment with flub, but do you think, i could put ACV in their water at the moment to,or will it just make things worse. Oh i forgot, s...

Re: My chook hasnt laid for nearly a week

Ive started mine on wormer, just in case. I'm worming all my girls as i have three. I've put DE in the nest area just in case of mites and crawlies.. I don't know what I'm looking for when looking at her vent, but it seems pretty clean. She isn't coughing or sneezing. The only thing i think she migh...

My chook hasnt laid for nearly a week

Hi , I thought it was worth starting a new thread, as I havent still got a clue whats wrong with one of my hens. She's not laid in nearly a week, she is eating small bits and drinking. She walks around for a while then sits. Her poo is different all the time and there is no sign of any looking like ...

What the heck is it?

I think Im going mad. One of my girls is poorly. Day three of reduction in egg...this could be down to a couple of factors. It might not be her They might have been taken by someone, namely a dodgy neighbour She is trying to eat pellets etc, but i think she is having difficulty. She ate some that i m...

Re: Gapeworm....treated, but still doing something with her

Thank you for your replies. I cant say that i have heard her making any sort of noises to be honest, but will certainly see if she does have a respiratory illlness, as i looked online earlier, and one of the signs are a light coloured egg shell, but i though the shell colour might have been due to t...

Gapeworm....treated, but still doing something with her beak

Hi, Ive had my chickens for around 12 weeks. Just after i had them i noticed the one was stretching her neck and opening her beak,..anyway, after looking online, i thought it best to worm them with flub, but still she's been doing the same,, now, ive decided to worm just her, using the flub on a gra...

please,no bats!

Hello.. I was just wondering, would there be any reason why a bat might want to come and visit me? I found one in my dining room earlier, after I heard my cat crying. My back door was open, so im not sure if the cat caught it and brought it in, or whether it flew in by accident, but ive never had tha...

Re: HELP i'VE CAUGHT MY HENS FOOT IN THE DOOR AND CUT THE TI

For the moment, everything is ok. Iv'e cleaned it and put sudocrem on it, as some of have suggested and it was easier to get, but think I will have to get a little chook first aid tin handy. She's walking around on it fine. The others seem okay with her about and no different from the usual.

Re: HELP i'VE CAUGHT MY HENS FOOT IN THE DOOR AND CUT THE TI

She's walking around fine i think, now and again she will stand on one foot. I am watching to see if the other hens have noticed or anything.
