Frugally free tomatoe fertiliser

Hi all,

Has anyone else come across urine as a tomatoe fertiliser?

Re: Living on zero money for two years

I've just finished a blog post about Mark Boyle (http://lifeintent.wordpress.com/2013/07 ... n-ethical/), but did you know that there are others?

Theres Heidemarie Schwermer in Germany and the 'hardcore' Daniel Suelo in the USA.

Going cold turkey on new clothes

Hi all,

I've just blogged about how I went a year without buying any brand new clothes at http://lifeintent.wordpress.com/2013/07 ... w-clothes/

A year that was so successful, that I've continued it :)

Also, a year which gave me loads of bargains.

Anyone else do this?

Re: Chicken keeping business

Dom, that's really helpful! Thank you. I would go with Warrens as from what I have read, they make the most business sense, but would 100 could as bulk and would I get a discount?! Any ideas on competitively priced housing for 100+ birds? Would it be cheaper to convert a shed? I'd plan to move the c...

Chicken keeping business

Hi all, Has anyone got any figures for keeping chickens as a business. Just a free floating idea at the moment, but say you had 100 customers each buying 6 free range eggs a week at £1.20 (£120 total). How many chickens would you need, which breed would they be, what would be the cost of food, water...

Re: StreetBank

Pleasure!

I think its one of those things that it would be good to promote in our local areas to make it work. Seems like the next step on from freegle to me.

Re: StreetBank

I've signed up (http://www.streetbank.com/people/32547) and added some stuff. Seems easy enough.

I'm going to do the flyers like it says and try and get others involved in my neighbourhood.
