Eight girls need good homes.I am looking for a good home or homes for my eight girls. They are a mixed bunch of mostly bantam crosses. If anyone needs more info or pics let me know. I just want good homes for them f.o.c.
Re: Neighbors complaining about noise. There does not seem to be any reason for the increase in noise it's not even an individual bird they are as noisy as each other. When they start off they are very loud and I have to admit it isn't a pleasant sound. Was wondering if reducing the eight girls would make difference but as I said it's ha...
Re: Neighbors complaining about noise.I think the girls are going to have to go. They seem to have gotten quite vocal and I am just waiting for another knock on the door, the stress is getting to me.
Re: Neighbors complaining about noise. Thanks for all the supportive replies. It's been over 2 weeks since the council came to visit, not had a noise abatement notice yet...Wondering if I should contact the council to see if it's still ongoing or am I safe.....
Re: Neighbors complaining about noise. Thanks for the replies. Sadly the neighbor in question isn't reasonable and is deliberately being nasty. She told the neighbor on our opposite side side that she can't have her windows open because all she can hear is our chickens. I have spoken to the neighbor she said this to and she has no proble...
Re: Neighbors complaining about noise.Does anyone know how these monitors work. Suddenly the children of the prime suspects are out in their garden as it's going dark making as much noise as they can for over an hour. This has only started after the visit from the council, so I am wondering if they are trying to get my chickens worked u...
Re: Neighbors complaining about noise. We accidentaly got a cockerel when we originaly purchaser the birds. As soon as he made his first crow he was returned to the seller and replaced. The council ladies asked about our cockerels so obviously the complainant can't tell the difference. I have been sat with the window open all morning and...
Re: Neighbors complaining about noise. It's an ex council property. We purchased it from the couple who bought it from the council and we own the lease. I have been sat by an open window for half an hour, haven't let the girls out yet and they are making no noise. The person I suspect of complaining lives in a council property and is not...
Re: Neighbors complaining about noise. Thanks for the welcome and helpful replies. We will just keep going as normal and see what happens. Hopefully we will hear no more about it as the whole family have become attached to our little flock. It's a shame some petty minded people have to try and spoil things.
Re: Neighbors complaining about noise.I wish I could say that the 2 ladies from Wigan council had been helpful. As I said earier we don't even have a cockerel and the hens aren't out before 7.30. The only time they get vocal is when they get upset by my neighbors cat. I have done my best to raise the fence height to try and keep it out ...
Re: Neighbors complaining about noise. We are in the Wigan area. I am disapointed that nobody has said anything to us directly but behind our backs. I have an idea who it is but council won't tell me.

They asked me if I keep cockerels, which I don't. I do have eight hens six are bantams. They told me neighbors have complained about the noise, but wouldn't tell me which...
