We grow carrots in an un-netted raised bed (two decking boards high) and haven't yet had any problems (touch wood) yet.

I was told to "thin out" just after it had rained and despose of the thinnings.

Same as ours, our neighbour planted it to cover her fence and make it look "preety", but now it covers everybody's fence and is a pain in the proverbial {mr.angry}

Now where did I put my loppers and machette? :-D

Try the normal dose, it works for me maybe it will need 2 or 3 hits over a couple of months and in the evening, but it works.(with a small drop of detergent) Fishpond We started at the normal dose, without then with detergent to no effect. I am at the minute using my Google-fu to try find a supplier of napalm )de: )de:

I think it may come down to brute force and ignorance and take the loppers, axe and machete to it :-D

Does anyone know how to train snails to eat Ivy? :-D :-D

Hi LL It contains Glyphosate, which I've already used and at nearly 3x the recommended dosage and the Ivy just laughed at me like this It's growing up, over and through a 7foot fence. I am seriously think of accidentally setting fire to the whole fence and blaming it on spontanious combustion WW
