Scrambled, checked my bill and our electric has an access charge of $10 & kWh of 10c, plus about a 3% tax. Our gas is calculated in "therms" (TH), so I'll have to do more homework to figure that one out.

We are in the planning stages here. I have a three tier shelf with grow lights that my husband made me, so I need to make up my mind what I will start... too many choices! We are looking for a home for our two milk goats and plan to grow corn where their pen is... bet it'll grow 12 ft. in that soil!...

I'm curious about how much utilities cost where you folks live. We live in a small town in Virginia, USA, and they seem high. Water, especially! It costs us $70 (105 UK) a month for a family of four. We heat with wood, but gas for cooking and hot water runs $50 (75UK) and electric is $75 (113UK). Th...
