Re: ............ October!

I do the veggie/egg thing and it's really tasty, especially with some spices.
I'll have a look at the egg receipes. I hadn't thought of that. There must be loads here somewhere. In the meantime, I've taken some into work for my colleagues.

Re: Plastic bags

Over here we haven't been given plastic bags in supermarkets for years. I picked up some great hessian type bags from sasda's three years ago when I popped over to the UK (for the first time in 13 years!) which are still going strong. Otherwise, you can get great bags here (one euro each) or use box...

Re: ............ October!

So far, so good this week. Food shop for me and my son under 30 euros. Library subscription needs renewing though and that's gone up by ten bloomin euros this year!!! Still worth it because I'm there every week and I get all my music from there. Swimming in eggs though! Only so many omlettes and pan...

Re: ............ October!

My October is starting well. Brand new coat, two shirts, a jumper and a tie for my son and two skirts for me.... 30 euros at Emmaus. Brilliant.

Re: Meanqueen's tightwad diary

Just a thought. My old dog did really well on Glucosamine. He couldn't go out for more than 15 minutes when I got him. Three weeks later I was the one wanting to go home first! I don't suppose it works for all dogs but maybe it's worth a try. I've just put my more recent 8 year old 'pup' on it as sh...

Re: Trying to buy less....

Last month (or was it the month before?) We ate everything that was left in the fridge, freezer and cupboards before going out shopping. My youngest thought I'd lost my job! Anyway, we had some odd meals but I had an almost empty freezer (just a few redcurrants from the summer before) before I went ...

Re: Chrissie's chooks

Four eggs a day now! Good girls! How do you 'date' yours ? I write the date on mine with a freezer pen but I'm not sure if I should do.

Re: Grateful cat.

She did it again! Thankfully not on the duvet, up by the pillows (I knew there was a reason not to make my bed in the mornings and I'd just slug the duvet back!) I've got a 'mattress protector (if that's the English word) so I can just whip everything off and wash it thank goodness. Someone said she...

Grateful cat.

Morning!
Yesterday I noticed a lump on my kitten's face. Took her to the vets, had it lanced (it was an abcess) , gave lots of extra tlc in the evening and what does she do this morning? Poo and wee on my bed. {mr.angry} Bless her.

Re: What is Saving September

Just paid EDF 116 euros. My eldest son moved out yesterday.... with all his computer/playstation stuff. Youngest son is at school during the week and comes home on Friday nights. Yes' I miss them but I'm a long way from 'empty nest syndrome, and have sort of been looking forward to the peace and qui...
