Re: Chickens started fighingWill do. She has had a few sprays today, and she didn't like it one bit. I finally managed to get them settled down tonight and all has been quite for the past couple of hours so I can finally relax. Tomorrow is another day...so they say.

Re: Chickens started fighingI can't work them out. It had gone quiet out there for a while, so I sneaked out, and there they were round the corner sitting together in the sun, in one of their haunts.
Re: Chickens started fighingNo, she's fine, and even despite on what's been going on the last couple of days she is still eating fine.
It's not happening all the time, it can be all quiet for half an hour, then all of a sudden it starts and is over again.

Re: Chickens started fighingNo, they are not spending more time in the nest box, all was quiet this morning, until I let them out and it has started again, I am going to put one in with the net over the door and they will have to take it in turns to come out, that's all I can do.

The black rock hen (Rita) always used to seem the leader, she was the first to lay by 2 months, Patti, The Speckledy hen was always the quietest up until she started laying at the beginning of January. But they were inseparable, wherever one was the other was close ...
