Re: used tea bag treatment

So would I Gwenoakes, but still not got the hang of how to post them and I didn't think on and take a picture beforehand. As for the final (ish) result well it could be better and I'll see what it looks like after polishing.

Re: used tea bag treatment

Yes Albertajune many times and it works a treat. Put the tea bags on the area wet (I just fish them out of my tea pot after use of course) and leave them on the area for as long as needed. Then gently polish.

used tea bag treatment

I've just refreshed the top of a "skip dived" brown wood chest of drawers by placing a couple of used damp tea bags over a white circle when the wood dry's I'll polish up the top with a mixture of olive oil and lemon juice.

Contentment is......

Returning from tidying up the allotment and sitting at the PC with a brew while a cake cooks in the oven and bread dough is (hopefully) rising in the airing cupboard.
What's your contented time?

Re: Winter is coming

Winter is coming

So besides keeping on with the knitted squares for an all wool king sized blanket using wool left over from all the jumpers I've knitted over the years. Its time to bring the plant pots and bread tin off the balcony and get out the tea lights to warm up the living room and save on using the economy ...

Re: Just picked grapes

We have loads of grape vines at our Bulgarian house both green and black but unfortunately the weather there was very wet during the summer so we found that most of the harvest had rotted on the vine before it ripened however a few survived only to be eaten by the family.

Re: Just returned from "Frugal Central"

I met an ex work colleague for lunch today and we talked about todays "values" she reckons that it goes back to the Thatcher years when she (Maggie) said something along the lines of "there's no such thing as community" or something like that. Then we had the "greed is good&...
