Baby Squirrel

Post by marc28s »

Found a baby squirrel in my garden yesterday, i thought it looked too young to be away from its mother so i went to pick it up, it let me stroke it then when i picked it up the little b****r bit me twice drawing blood (serves me right i suppose)

Its been back in the garden quite a few more times now so obviously not that young and it wont let me near it now which is good.

I hope you're not in the medical/vetinary profession. You're treatment plan seems to be missing the target. How would you treat a broken leg? Fit the patient with an eye patch? :-D
Seriously though they don't half bite deeply and will hang on for grim death {cry}

I believe the only thing that MAY have tetanus is a certain type of bat, in this Country. But I can't remember the last time some one got it from one of them.

Yes.... they have a really nasty bite, that is why you don't want your dogs catching them.
I think a tetanus [for you, not said squirrel !] maybe a good idea if you haven't had one in the last 10 years, I think. As tetanus is in the ground and they grub about in that all the time.
Hope it isn't hurting too bad.
