Birdbox with camera

Post by Hilly Bean »

In March, by chance in my local Aldi I found a bird box with a camera inside for £40. I put it all together and painted the outside and placed it in the beech hedge. Lo and behold a few weeks later someone moved in...a blue tit! It has taken ages for her to make the nest but when she moved in copious amounts of fluffy stuff I knew she was serious. We now have about 8 eggs! It has been great for my son who is massively keen on wildlife, as the camera is attached to the tv in his bedroom. The box even has infra red lights so that we can see the blue tit asleep at night time! :-D
