Another Cricket Visitor

Post by Richard »

I may have posted this before, apologies.

Two years ago a Pigeon came into the dressing rooms at Kent. We tried all sorts to get it on it's way, but he stayed around for quite a while.

He had a tag, so we finally caught him and phoned the number, someone up North somewhere.

He explained it was a really good one and on no account should we feed it.

Well, we did explain this is a Cricket Ground and people only eat half the food they buy and most of that gets chucked on the Ground.

After some two weeks he vanished and we heard he made it home OK!

Did you know that the railway still has the old by-law that they are to carry Pigeons to a place and let them free?

Aww how cute
We had a tumbler pigeon for a number of weeks, as he was injured.
He eventually went home as well.
