To attract Ladybirds to overwinter in your garden,just place an egg box with a hole in,or opened and upside down in the hedge or any dry place,they will be kept dry and warm over the winter and you will benifit next year.
When Irish eyes are smiling,they are usually up to mischief.

Will try that, I noticed three in the bolt recess of our gate? I have an old bird box that was past its sell by date and put a bit of straw in, there was quite alot in there I noticed this spring )t'
