I`ve noticed that in this hot weather we`ve been having, magpies keep lying down on the ants nests in our garden, bet that tickles )grin2(

Called 'Anting' they allow them to bite them and inject formic acid- it's said to deter parasites. They do also sunbathe at the same time as UV light has an effect on them too.
