What is the best way to get rid of moles from the garden?

Make them uncomfortable by stamping around the garden a lot - a small herd of children could help.
Otherwise traps in the runs.

I explained this to the wife earlier. Being a Brummie myself, I know most of Jasper Carrott's earlier stuff and even called our Golden Retriever "Jasper", because he is carrot coloured. (Sorry, but it is true).
