Coffee dregs for slugsCoffee dregs for slugsI saw on TV the other night that real coffee - after being used in a cafetiere is one good organic way of keeping slugs at bay. Any other good organic methods people use?
I could do with one of those, Richard.
I did my first slug and snail patrol last night. With my wind up torch in hand, I collect them up in a small plastic (sorry) bag, tie the top, and bin them. I shall be doing that most nights for the whole of the summer, it seemed to help last year, only got a few plants nibbled. I stooped to take a closer look at what I thought was a twig, when in fact it was a small lizard type creature about 4 inches long. It was very still allowing me to pick it up. I must be carefull when walking around at night in future, as I also have frogs. Ilona |
