Woodlands for sale

Post by mellonia »

Hi

Has anyone been on the website, woodlands for sale, wow i wish i could buy a woodland, they are all around £30,000 for between 1 1/2 to 4 acres, there are some for sale near me, you can camp and do woodland crafts and watch wildlife. It is extravagant i know. There is no way i could get one. Wait to see if i win the lottery.

woodlands.co.uk

if anyone is interested, look and make a wish.

I think it looks like the middle man who is probably managing it all is making a packet, selling woods to townies with a bit of spare cash.

Hi Mellonia,
Yes WFS is one of my favourite sites.Ben Law in his book on Woodland management advocates that with just 2 acres properly managed we would never want for firewood or materials.I would like to live in the woods, baring a large inheritance(I dont do the lotto)it will remain a dream. It is enough that I have to do managing my own garden and orchard!
Enjoy browsing, the experience always lifts my spirits!

I am going to look now.
Sounds like heaven doesn't it? I wouldn't think there were any near me though.

How odd - I was picking some wild garlic yesterday, and me and my hubby were just discussing how nice it would be to buy woodland - I think I'll take a peek!!!

Hi

I know its brilliant isn't it having a virtual life on line, I do venture outside, yesterday went to a sculpture park at Bretton hall in wakefield, we had a great time, the parkland which was the setting was amazing, and i had a rather nice lolly, which was like a calipo, but was pure apple and and rasberry juice no articficial colours or adds.

Yes to get back to woodlands how fantastic to go off and camp in your own wood on a weekend. I don't do the lotto, but my hubby does so by association i will get some. I do know people who have won a bit 4 of them shared 400,000. And unfortuanately they were the sort of people that money was there god anyway, so still in the same rubbish jobs and probably doing overtime. I would have used the money to retrain and do something i really like, and obviously bought a wood. How amazing would it be to pass a wood onto your heirs.

My cousins partner's auntie left 600,000 and a bungalow to all the family as she never married and never had children, just shows how loaded we would all be if no kids or partners they cost a lot don't they. Only joking. She had they best name i ever heard, Ethelene

Why don't we all put 50p in and buy a 'down the lane wood' in the middle of England. How's that for an idea.

we could get some wild boar, i love them.

Johnny kingdom has some land, but he has 50 acres.

Just dreams,
