Polytunnel Path
Polytunnel PathTis done and now we are on the the twiddly stuff, I have read somewhere about mould/fungi being a problem, so is it not a good idea to put bark on the path ? If not what shall I instruct he who does ( he works very well under instruction ! ) to put down. Thankyou in advance.

Usually Barking Up the Wrong Tree Re: Polytunnel PathPolytunnels can get problems with condensation and mould. You need to make sure that it gets ventilation at evry oppertunity.
Cheap slabs would be the best option for a path. Sometimes freecycle has free second hand ones. Quand je serai vieille je vais vivre en France

Re: Polytunnel PathGood morning Angela
I use in mine a length of weed controll fabric (but only because i had some) and some 20mm stone or gravel from B&Q about 3" deep over it,it is handy if weather ever does turn hot to be able to damp down a bit, gravel holds moisture nicely.Old plastic bags underneath will do the same job ,keeps the weeds at bay ,i do believe you had some sides to your path like boards.
Re: Polytunnel PathThank you HM.
Good Morning to you too Bill, yes indedeeee we have sides to our path, and we have our entire front "garden" gravelled, looks like a skim off the top for the polytunnel then, thankyou Bill my Polytunnel oracle Angela

Re: Polytunnel PathThis is mine inside end of last year.
If you allready have some gravel problem sorted, old plastic bags ie compost bags under the gravel will surpress the weeds
Re: Polytunnel PathThat looks lovely Bill, very healthy looking plants, is that beet root ?

Re: Polytunnel Path
Hi Angela Beet root,Lettuce,Carrots and Fennel ,it was getting late in the year ,the beauty of a pollytunnel is that you can sow things a little earlyer and later than in the garden.Got some little kidney type salad potatoes in there this year no sign of them yet though, and a few Lettuce plants Re: Polytunnel PathMy pumpkin also did quite well in shade this year although it's taking it's time to ripen.
