Thanks for the kind words, I am realy pleased with how it has turned out :-D
The best thing about it apart from saving all that glass going to a landfill is the total cost £20.00.
£10.00 for sealant and a whopping £10.00 for two rolls of weed fabric
Okay so there are screws and nails to consider but I had these left over from the hen house and run.
Out of interest I looked at new greenhouses and the closest size to mine was £1600 ( where is the smug smiley when you need it) :-D
I am already collecting more glass for stage two )t'

You can visit my allotment if you like, Al )j; I would love something like that!

One word of warning re your produce (and please correct me if I'm wrong) but I was under the impression that it was against allotment rules to sell the produce you grew.
Although I believe it is fine to sell or rent someone a box or bag that just happens to contain your fruit and veg )c(

As an ex allotment secretary I can tell you that each local council has its own rules and the secretary should hand a set of the rules to each new plot holder. Or the rules should be displayed on a notice board at all entrances to the site.

I printed a copy for each new member and charge them 50 pence which I placed into the allotment account which helped to pay for the water bill. The rent for each plot was £12.50. (a plot being a half a rood that’s one eighth of an acre.) £5 for the rent and £7.50 for water. We scrounged old baths and taps and I wrote to the water board and inquired how much it would cost to purchase the blue plastic water pipe. They only charged us half the price that the local merchant was selling it for, plus they gave us the connection fittings for free plus an extra 50 metre length of piping.

Six of us got together and laid the pipe with a tap to every third allotment. Hosepipes were banned but you could have as much water as you could carry.

Just told Mrs Al that I have been offered a holiday in exchange for building a greenhouse.
She says that would be lovely if you can guarantee fine weather :-D
