It's the taste of the first spring cabbage cooked within an hour of being cropped.

Surely you can eat as much cabbage as you want, on a diet? :?

Oh yum. That looks lovely and I have just today given all my cabbage plants away as there is too much cabbage for one person and I wouldn't cook it just for me.

You can't buy cabbage like this in the shops. It's young and loose. Even decent farm grown cabbage is left to go full term and by the time you get it it's at least days old if not longer.

The taste difference is greater than the difference with our eggs.

Those that grow their own will know what I mean. Others will probably think "It's all cabbage"

I've never been a great lover of cabbage because it's been shop bought. I love this stuff.

The only vegetable my Son would eat when he was small was spring cabbage left on our doorstep from our friends allotment.
