Homemade Baileys

Post by jacquih »

Made a couple of batche of homemade Baileys this week, it was mmmm even though I do say so myself, was given a bottle of homemade whiskey so cost was minimal, all I used was a tin of condensed milk, carton of double cream, spoonful of instant coffee desolved in a little water, a tablespoon of drinking chocolate desolved in a little water, few drops of vanilla essence and a cup of whisky of your choice, more or less depending on preference, put all ingredients in a large bowl and blitz in blender or wth a whisk, enjoy )hic( .

Happy new year

With a still, you make a mash of grain, this gets heated in a sealed container, the steam then goes through a copper pipe, which is coiled in a bucket of water, and the alcohol drips out of the end of the copper tube.
This is just a basic description of how to make it. I'm not entirely sure how the law stands on this, you may need a licence or it may be completely illegal to produce it.

As far as I know any form of distilling alcohol at home is illegal, its also dangerous. )t'

Lol, just reread my post again, dont know where the homemade came from, must have been drunk on it when I wrote this, it was actually whisky I was given and had at home already, no distilling here, honest

So if I hear a loud boom and there is a smell of whisky in the breeze, I'll know who has done what. :-D
