R.I.P. Keith.

Post by Dean H »

I'm gutted! Keith Floyd has passed on, he was the man who got me 'into' cooking. Without him I wouldn't have attempted anything culinary beyond beans on toast...
Thanks Keith.

A sad loss! He cooked big helpings of good grub!
And taught me to allways try to cook one handed so's I could hold a wine glass in the other! {cry}

He was a great personality, and he didn't feel the need to swear all the time so his programmes were very watchable. A true celebrity chef without all the razamataz and blowing of their own trumpets!

I used to love his programs and they are the reason i enjoy cooking - the first person to get me interested.

I watched an old program last night on one of the sky channels - he was definately a character !

This weekend i'll have a big slurp of red wine in his memory )c+

I met with Keith last year and enjoyed his company. I was shocked at how old he looked. It's sad to say but I'm not that shocked at his early demise. He looked in his eighties.

I have fond memories of him and yes he was one of the original Super Star Chefs that inspired a nation of Chefs.

Cheers Keith........

Keith's coffin was made from banana leaves.....how odd, but typical of the man I guess.

Jim Davidson was at his funeral and the two were great mates, I wouldn't have put those two as mates.

They probably gave each other advice on how to get a new wife every time they lost the old one {rofwl} Not to mention enjoying a few vats of wine {rofwl}
