Post by seahorse »

Pain au chocolat bread pudding....thought i would experiment on cousin and his wife )c+ .
Got 2 packs of 4 pain au chocolat from the co op for 99p each pack, sliced them and arranged in oven proof dish. Then with 3/4 pint of milk, 1 frrrreeee range egg. tablespn unbleached sugar and vanilla essence in pan, heat and keep stirring til it thickens. Add 2 teaspns organic cocoa powder and stir well into custard. I poured 1/2 wineglass of amaretti liqueur on the slices then poured on custard. Bake in oven til pipng hot. YUMMY and easy and cheap as chips )c+ . Pants if you are dieting.

An hours belly dance = 1 portion of choccy pud. Got the idea from the M and S advert. takes too long to make croissants. )c+ . Too much choc for the colonel, he prefers the banana crumble which is also rather yummy. )t(
