P.Penn - you made me laugh then. Horrible when you expect something to be good and it makes your toes curl!!

Oooh, Seahorse, recipe would be nice.

Nellie - I'm going to give a beetroot cake a go. Sounds fun!!

apparently beetroot juice is supposed to be really good for you, I tried to grow some again this year, the rabbits enjoyed it, although i think that they just dug up the small roots just for the fun of it

I put beetroot cake into search engine & found the beetroot cake in question. But there were also loads more!

I found this from national trust - lots of historic cake recipes which us down the lane foodies would appreciate! Includes plum, apple & pear cake, sticky rhubarb cake, parsnip and caraway plus more! )c+ Well worth a look! )t'

Blimey! That was a long address!! Hope it's ok! confused> Yes just tested it - go on, try it! What else are you going to do with all of those amazing fruit & veg that you are growing!!! :!:

finely gratted and fried. Comes up crunchy and makes a colourfull addition to a nice meat dish.

Right now I'm having amnesia and deja vu at the same time. I think I've forgotten this before.

That sounds a nice idea, Mike. Wouldn't have thought about frying it, but will give it a go and let you know what I think.

Thanks! )t'
