Squash

Post by bookbinder »

I have made soup using butternut squash in the past....somebody has just given me a squash....not cut into it yet, but are they similar? Didn't realise there were different kinds!

pumpkins and squash are basically the same, they just come in different shapes and sizes.
There's one with a dark green, sort of bluey outer with a very deep orange in the middle.
These ones are fantastic in soup, they've got a texture a bit like a potato, but a really fine-grained potato.
to err is human..to moo, bovine...
