Bunny Cake...

Post by manda »

A friends niece wanted a playboy bunny cake so....
Image

It was the first time I had done the explosion effect...thank goodness for good tutorials on the net )grin2(

The bunny was a challenge because it has been so hot here getting it to dry out was difficult..in the end I suggested it was put in the freezer and put onto the cake just before they lit the candles...did the trick and it made it in one piece.

Thank you ...I've gone back to making a good old butter cake ..I tried one that was a recipe on line supplied by a professional cake maker but I, and the person I made it for, (I asked her for REALLY honest feedback) thought it was a bit dry....everytime I've made the butter cake the response has been the cake was delicious.
That for me is important..what's the point in trying to make it look pretty if it tastes horrid >shrug<

Another brilliant one )t'
How on earth are you managing everything, cake making, smoking salmon, etc etc plus animals and kids, all with a dodgy knee?
You are amazing!

Another great cake Manda. Your cakes all look so proffesional that you must be the first person that someone thinks of when they want a special cake.
I do admire your skills so much. )t'

Thank you both ...I enjoy making them but it also gives me a chance to try doing new things so I'm learning all the time and practising things I've learnt already at the same time.
