Blimey OReilly - I knew Laners were good but this response is amazing.

I like the sound of all of these and will try them when the beetroot start cropping. Thanks for the warning Maggie. If my pee goes red I won't panic.

Hugh Fearnley-W has a delicious recipe for beetroot risotto....mostly done in the oven, and served with soured cream and fresh dill. I can vouch for it's tastiness )t'

It's in his Veg Every Day cookbook, but I'm sure you can find it online )eat(

Thanks again. All I need now is the beetroot. I've been out and had a word with it and I'm hoping for a bumper crop.
