Looking good Richard. I made damson a couple of weeks ago which is lovely. Such a wonderful colour and you can't beat that sharp sweetness. )t'

Scrummy, can`t beat a bit of fresh bread, proper butter and homemade jam.

Mmmmm - I made 2 batches of plum jam the other day, although that isn't as much as it sounds as my jam maker only makes a small amount at a time!

Yummy though!

Lovely! My fave jam, damson. Used to make it every year until my neighbour cut down their damson tree (which used to lean over the fence) {cry}
While most bought jams are too sweet for me, I've found Tiptree or Duchy damson are great so I resort to buying these days.
No hedgerow ones round here, sadly
Enjoy!

Richard,
I was hoping to make damson jam, but the tree produced very little fruit this year {cry}

I made a tiny batch of bramble jelly last night, there wasn't much and I didn't
want to waste any by boiling it too long, thus it hasn't quite set enough, but....
I just had some on toast this morning & its absolutely gorgeous, I haven't made this
for many many years & had forgotten how special it is. I may go out it the rain now
& pick the last of the blackberries to make a bit more.
