Toffee Apples

Post by chickenchaser »

I bought two from Morris' son for 49p each!
Must admit I love them and they do take me back to being a child.

Anyone got a simple recipe?

Hi Jackie

I will be popping down there later will pick a few up for the weekend!

I dont eat them myself, but my grandson will! )t'

When i was a kid we always made our own!

My mum had a very sweet tooth LOL, she always made her own toffee!

Poor you. Sounds as if the sugar wasn't dissolved before the fast boiling.
Can't you wash the apples and try again? )c+

 I can't even throw them out for the blackbirds as the "toffee" has gone firm but chewy-like a penny chew that's got warm and would probably stick their beaks together.

Thanks for the advice PP, I will try again at the weekend )c+

I was really looking forward to them as well confused>
