Wine and jam

Post by albertajune »

Today I have made a start on making damson wine. I've never made it before but it sounds good and should have a beautiful colour when finishled.

I've also made 8 jars of damson jam which is a family favourite. I picked 11lbs of damsons yesterday and am now fed up with the sight of them. I have told people at the allotments to help themselves but any left will go into the freezer. I have enough left myself to make a bottle of damson gin for Christmas. So good :-D
I am now a widow and live with my memories.

I have had a similar day to you I have made plum jam and I am fed up of stoning the plums but even if I say so myself its the best jam I have made can't stop eating it. I have also made some cider first time of making it so fingers crossed it works.
