What about adapting your overnight beef recipe in the 'reasonably priced dish' thread ?

Add some cooked onions and carrots to it and cover with suet top to make a Teviot pie - yummy!

Now what can I do with a large Christmas pudding that I won - no one but me likes it and I have a little one for tomorrow :?

Have a look at the label and see how much is beef and how much is other stuff, (yucky) . If it's a good name make a pie, if not chuck it out for the birds.

I'm not at all keen on Christmas pud but I do like a Christmas pud ice cream. But a cheap tub of vanilla, stir in crumbled pud, maybe a little brandy, keeps to use as a desert when you can't be bothered.

Nigella did a good looking gift of christmas puddinis which looked fantastic - do you have anyone left to visit, you caould make and take these. Program link here http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00g6wk1

Mix it with suet or lard, maybe some seeds, peanuts, mealworms, breadcrumbs, heat it in a pan and put it out for the birds.

They will appreciate it. I don't think I would eat mince from a tin.

Good luck with it, anyway :-D
