Our soppy moggy
Our soppy moggyLikes to be brushed with the yard bass broom, and hoovered with the Dyson, much to the amusment of our viisitors.
Mike Right now I'm having amnesia and deja vu at the same time. I think I've forgotten this before.
Gosh mine jumps a mile when the hoover goes on - he's petrified by it!
It would be lovely to see a piccie of your moggy (HINT, HINT!) http://www.freshstartforhens.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

soppy moggy "Misty"Wish him happy birthday on 5th november. He will be 17!
He's grown a light/white moustache as he's gotton older. His eyes reflect bright blue. He has white socks and a white belly. Although he has never been fat, he used to weigh 8.5 kilos, but now he's older he is only about 6 kilos. Soppy to us but the scourge of the local feral cats. I cannot believe you can hoover him with a Dyson. How lovely!
He looks massive! Does he 'pick on' your hens? If so how do you deal with it? I am new to having chickens, and I have only over the past few days been letting them out of their pen to run free range in my garden.( They LOVE it, but always go home of their own accord.) At first I was not too worried about the cats (Spotty ran away and hid, he was terrified) but it seems to me the cats, especially my lovely Bramblebee are getting a little braver, going closer, mock stalking them but then thinking better of it. I will NOT let the chickens out of my eye sight in the garden but it would be great at some point to leave them with the cats. Any advice would be much appreciated. Ma Larkin
our soppy moggyHi Ma Larkin,
Yes he is a fair size, but muscular as opposed to huge. Not a problem with the chickens as they are in an enclosed run and he cannot get to them. But sometimes he just lays on the ground near them and sometimes he just sits watching them. However, the chickens seem oblivious to him and being hybrids are a fair bit taller than he is! I keep mine in an enclosed run as over here there are a number of chicken predators, fox, pine martin, stone martin, ferret, stoat, weasel and buzzards with a 6 foot wing span. They don't often take live animals and when they do it's mostly small rabbits so in theory the chooks should be safe! Mike Right now I'm having amnesia and deja vu at the same time. I think I've forgotten this before.
